Bandwagon is a shared calendar for deciding which events to go to with friends. This page explains what it keeps about you, why, and who else sees it. In short: only what the app needs to work, never sold, no ads, no tracking.
What we keep
- Your account: name, email address, and your password stored only as a one-way hash (we can't read it). If you use Sign in with Apple, we keep the anonymous ID Apple gives us and the email Apple shares (which may be a private relay address).
- Your profile: an optional photo and an optional home city, used to find event locations near you.
- What you add: events, the screenshots, links or text you add them from, your votes and comments, and the calendars you're on.
- Notifications: if you turn them on, a device token so we can send them, and which kinds you want.
Who sees it
- People on your calendars see your name, photo, votes and comments, and the events on those calendars. People you add as a friend see your name.
- Anthropic (the maker of Claude) receives a screenshot, link or text when you ask Bandwagon to read event details from it, and the event details when Bandwagon works out a missing location. Anthropic doesn't use this to train its models.
- Map services: event venue names and addresses are looked up with OpenStreetMap's Nominatim and Photon services, and on iPhone with Apple Maps, to place them on the map. Nothing about you is sent with them.
- Our hosting providers (Vercel and Turso) store and serve the data on our behalf.
We don't sell your data, show ads, or use third-party analytics or tracking.
Keeping and deleting
Your data stays while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile Settings → Account → Delete account) or on the website. That removes your account, profile, votes, comments and notification settings, and you leave every calendar; calendars nobody else is on are deleted along with their events. Events you added to calendars other people are still on stay there for them.
Demo accounts (“Try the demo”) and their sample data are deleted automatically after a day.
Children
Bandwagon isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
